The holiday of Halloween, sometimes called All-Hallow's Eve, is celebrated on the thirty-first of October. Halloween is sometimes referred to as All Saints' Eve. The origins of Halloween date back hundreds of years to the time of Celtic druid pagan worshippers, but it is now celebrated throughout the world.

Halloween celebrates scary stories and things. It's fun for both adults and kids to feel a pang of fear - all in fun. This is the one night of the year when witches, goblins, ghouls, ghosts, vampires, scarecrows and magical pumpkins interact. Be careful, though, for black cats crossing your path can lead to an ominous night!

People celebrate Halloween in different ways. Kids like to go door to door begging for candy - aka "trick-or-treating". If the house has a porch light on, its normally okay to knock on the door. However, parents are encouraged to wait by the curb for their young trick-or-treaters. If not trick-or-treating, some people attend Halloween costume parties or simply stay at home to watch a scary Halloween movie.
